Happy 20th Birthday Jordan!

Today Jordan is 20 years old! Where has the time gone. Seems like just yesterday he was a little boy going to Kindergarten and now he has graduated from High School and he is in the Navy. Wow do Jerry and I feel old! But, we are so proud of Jordan and the path he has chosen for his life. We love you and hope you have a wonderful birthday!

Summer Time

Well, Summer has officially arrived for the Knight girls! They went to school this morning to get their report cards and are now out for the summer. School will resume August 19th and at that time we will have a Senior, a Sophomore and a 4th grader. Woo Hoo! Summer is going to be a busy one. Jenny is playing softball on the city league and she has games every Monday and Wednesday for the next 6 weeks. Jerry and I are coaching her team. I think Jerry is also gong to help his brother Jeff coach the JFL football team. Jessica completed a week of Lifeguard training at the U of I and she is going to be a lifeguard at the public pool in Tuscola. She is also on the school Pom Pon team so she will have camp this summer for that also. Jami is just hanging out all summer with her friends at the pool. We are planning on going to Florida the last week of July so that we can spend some time with Jordan. He is doing awesome. He said he really likes it down there. What's not to like about Florida? DUH! Jordan's friend Russell will be stationed in Florida soon. He is flying down there on May 28th so Jordan will have someone from home to hang out with. Jordan is in Florida

Jordan made it to Florida. Jordan had to catch a bus on base at 1:30am and they were to be at the airport by 2am. Jordan's girlfriend (Jenna) met him at the airport so she could see him off. He left the Chicago airport on Sunday at 6am and was in Florida by 11:30 Eastern time. He said he has 2 new room mates and that they are really nice guys. He also said that he is so close to the ocean, he can see it out some of the windows. Jordan said he will be at the beach every time he is allowed off base. His girlfriend is also going to be in the Navy. She leaves for basic on July 7th and then she too will be in FL. She is so sweet and we really like her. I will post Jordan' s new address as soon as I get it from him. Jordan will be in Florida for the next year so he can complete his "B" school. Jerry and I have already decided that we are going to have to plan a summer vacation there so we can spend some time with him.
